We are a 501c3 charity and our programs and events are created and organized entirely by volunteers with the assistance of one paid staff member. We are very grateful for the many members of our community who have stepped up to make our community center exist and a place to promote the overall quality of life in the community through social, educational, recreational, health, and safety programs. How can you help? Our events and programs need many volunteers, our facility needs care, and we need things for the events. There are many ways you can help! Read on:
Donations of any amount anytime are most welcome! You may use this donation button to give a general non-specific donation, become a member or renew your membership, buy tickets to one of our Heritage Dinners, or specify another specific purpose. The button takes you to PayPal form where you can use any credit card or PayPal to make your donation. Don't forget to specify the purpose of your donation and how we can reach you if we have a question. PayPal does take a small amount of your donation for online payments - feel free to donate to cover that expense or not. Thank-you for considering a donation!!
We are so grateful for our many volunteers who step up to help. And thank-you to the people who fill out the section on our registration forms indicating a willingness to volunteer for a future need!!
To offer your help, call Friendship Park Community Center at 419-936-3079 or Joyce Ejhinger at 419-320-9979. We will be so grateful!
There are things that need to be purchased and we are grateful for donations:
Check out our newsletter on the Newsletter page for some our specific current wishes.
Organizations have paperwork, like flyers, posters, meeting notes, etc. We could use some scotch tape, pens and pencils, hanging file folders, file folders, and reams of copy paper. Boxes of tissues are welcome.
Our monthly Veterans Lunch needs help with food donations, serving items, and food preparation. Depending on the event, we need disposable tablecloths, table decorations, paper products, plastic dishware, food items, etc. When you see an upcoming event, let us know if you have something that might support the event.
Our BINGO players love snacks at the break. We need small plates, napkins, and cups for coffee. Donations most welcome! Snacks or desserts for our monthly meetings like the AARP and Veterans Lunches are also welcome.
We have a coffee maker (a current one generously donated by V.J. Hoffman) and keep canned soda and bottled water available in the facility. Donations of coffee or pop are most welcome. To cover the costs, we ask for a quarter for a cup of coffee, 50 cents for a bottle of water, and a dollar for a canned soda. Donations help keep expenses down!
