To promote the overall quality of life in the community through social, educational, recreational, health, and safety programs.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit entity, the Friendship Park Community Center will work to provide a healthy and relaxed site for all members of the community.
Everyone from anywhere, and of any age, is welcome. Our Center is located in the Point Place/Shoreland area of Toledo, Ohio and programs support the needs of this community.
Our building and grounds are owned and maintained by the City of Toledo, Parks and Youth Services. Most operating expenses are paid from funds raised by our members and participants through fundraising and through the generosity of individuals, organizations and businesses. We receive support from Area Office of Aging which is funded via the local Lucas County Senior Levy and the federal Older Americans Act. The facility can be rented by organizations via the City.
We are a non-profit. The activities at the Center are created and offered by volunteers, directed by a board of trustees and their officers.
While all are welcome and invited to all of our activities, we do maintain a roster of FPCC members who have donated a membership fee. Membership fees help support our mission and vision.
